Columbia Voter Registration Drive
Thursday 9/11, 4 PM to 6:30 PM
College Walk
Volunteer to register voters! CPU will be running a non-partisan voter registration booth on College Walk, co-sponsored by the College Democrats and the College Republicans, as part of the student organized service event that will precede the McCain/Obama ServiceNation event at 7 PM. All volunteers welcome; no experience necessary; help out for as long as you're able! To sign up, email Caitlin Halpern at chalpern@cupolitics.org with all your available times and the total length of time you are willing to volunteer.

Roone Arledge Cinema & College Walk
Don't forget to watch the ServiceNation event with Senators and Presidential nominees John McCain and Barack Obama! The event will be simulcast on a large television screen viewable from College Walk and at various other locations around campus.

New York Primary Election Day
Tuesday, 9/9 6 AM to 9 PM
If you are registered to vote in New York City, find your poll site here: http://gis.nyc.gov/vote/ps/index.htm. Polls are open from 6 AM to 9 PM. Residents of Manhattan may vote for their party's nominee for:
- Surrogate, New York County
- Judge of the Civil Court, New York County
- State Senator
- Member of the State Assembly
- State Committee Party Members
- Delegates and Alternate Delegates to the Judicial Convention

Dr. Howard Gardner, hosted by Center for Technology, Innovation, and Community Engagement

Davis Auditorium in the Schapiro Center
Columbia University students are invited to a very exciting event on public service taking place just one day before Obama and McCain come to Columbia through a service organization. The University kicks off a series of public service events beginning with Wed. night.

The Center for Technology, Innovation, and Community Engagement in partnership with the Columbia University Scholars Program will be hosting Dr. Howard Gardner, a Harvard professor known for his theories on multiple intelligence and cognitive studies of great leaders and scientists.
